Daniel and Gareth's destination wedding day took place in the Douro Valley at Quinta da Pacheca, one of the oldest and most well known wine estates in Portugal.
Friends and family travelled from the UK to celebrate their love for one another and the day was filled with laughter, happy tears and lots of fun!
The location for the ceremony was absolutely beautiful with open views towards the hills and vineyards. The ceremony turned even more special and personal as one of the grooms' best friends was actually the officiant. When Daniel and Gareth walked down the aisle together, hand in hand, they couldn't help but get emotional seeing everything and everybody coming together to celebrate their special moment.
One of the things I like about this venue - apart from the romantic 18th century manor and quirky wine barrel rooms where guests can enjoy their overnight stay - is the proximity of the vineyards and the fact that they are everywhere!
This allowed me during the reception to borrow Daniel and Gareth for a quick sunset photo session in the vineyards nearby, without having to walk too far or make them leave their guests for too long!
After the outdoor reception and open bar, the guests were led to the dinner table set up in the old wine cellar filled with wooden wine barrels on each side of the room, making for a very interesting dining experience.
Once the dinner time was over, Daniel and Gareth opened the dance floor and everybody started dancing, having fun and... doing the occasional splits! And of course, the Cristiano Ronaldo masks were present once again, which is funny because I only see them at weddings and nowhere else!
