CHARMING DESTINATION WEDDING IN THE

PORTUGUESE COUNTRYSIDE

MYLÈNE & BYRON

Mylène and Byron's wedding took place in a remote village near Bragança in North East Portugal, a place that features beautiful landscapes with fields of olive trees. In fact, this is where the best olive oil in Portugal is from and that's saying something since Portuguese people sure love their olive oil!

From France to the USA and back to Portugal, Mylène and Byron's friends and families got together to celebrate their wedding in the same village and at the same church where Mylène's grandparents had gotten married many years before. Mylène also chose to wear her mother's wedding dress and her grandmother's jewelry, turning this day even more special.

The reception and took place on Mylène's parents terrain among the olive trees, where her father cleared an area to accommodate for some tables, hale bales and a repurposed red tractor. Later in the evening, the dinner took place in the garden by the house which was lit with strings of fairy lights and small candles on the tables. The entire atmosphere was amazing!

Among the highlights of the day, I need to mention the local percussion band which performed right there on the street, capturing the guests' attention while leading everyone to the dinner location. The surprises didn't end there, as Mylène and Byron's friends surprised them with an impromptu karaoke night with a screen projection of videos filmed by their friends in different corners of the world. This took Mylène and Byron completely by surprise and made for a very entertaining night. Make sure to check their reactions below!

This wedding was all about family, friendship and the strength of those bonds that can surpass any distance. I loved being part of this beautiful and emotional day and I am so grateful I've had the chance to tell Mylène and Byron's story, which you can see below!
