Set deep in the middle of a forest several kilometres away from the nearest village, Alexandra and Alex's rustic boho wedding was one of the most beautiful I ever had the chance of photographing. Their love for one another was present every step of the way, creating an atmosphere filled with romance, closeness and complicity.
Arriving the day before the wedding, the couple's family and friends enjoyed fishing in the nearby lake while the kids ran around and played together on the grass. Alexandra did the floral bouquet and floral crown by herself, carefully using wild flowers, leaves and berries found on the fields nearby.
A small wooden church hosted the religious ceremony which was attended by the guests dressed in traditional folk clothes. All these elements came together, transporting the scene into a nostalgic past when people celebrated their traditions and customs.
Below you can see how the story of this forest wedding unfolded: from the morning preparations when the Alexandra's mother helped with her hair and makeup, continuing with the emotional first look between the bride and groom, until the night sky got filled with stars witnessing the folk party where Alexandra and Alex's fathers played guitar and flute songs. We even get to see a deer in the forest!
