That was the beginning of our story which started just two days before their intimate destination wedding in Porto. Needless to say, this wedding is one of my favourites of all time, not just because it was a small wedding with close friends and family but also because of how well I resonated with the couple and their story.
Both Geninha and Alexandre come from Brazil but they decided to have their wedding in Portugal due to Geninha’s strong connection to her father’s side of the family that still lives in here.
Unfortunately, Geninha’s father passed away a few years ago so the symbolism of getting married in his home country turned the whole event even more emotional and more meaningful. The great distance between the two countries makes it difficult for Geninha to be as close to her family in Portugal as she would had wanted to, therefore it was very special to witness their reunion on such a happy occassion.
Taking all of this into consideration I felt that my job had been given an even greater significance and it was a privilege to be a part of it. It is weddings like this that make me love what I do!
